I was absolutely honored when I was asked to return to California for Together We Rise's Disney Days. This was my third year volunteering, and my first back since the pandemic. When I returned home after the best day ever I found myself feeling a little heartbroken and missing the amazing group of people I got to spend the day with. This lead me to watching Disney movies in bed, puppy snuggles, drinking tea, and reflecting on being given such an incredible opportunity.
"For the past decade we've created magical moments for thousands of siblings during the Disney Days reunification event. Currently, 70% of children in foster care are in placements separate from their siblings. We started Disney Days because we believe that siblings in foster care belong together."
